This Class is geared towards providing a better understanding of what listening effort is, how to interpret the research on it, hearing aid features shown the reduce listening effort, and strategies for discussing listening effort with patients.

Erika Porter joined Phonak as a Clinical Trainer in April of 2019. She received her bachelor’s degree in Speech and Hearing Science and master’s degree in Communication Disorders-Audiology from Arizona State University. She later went on to earn her AuD from A.T. Still University. Prior to joining Phonak, Erika worked in private practice settings providing tinnitus and hearing aid services. She especially enjoyed helping families through the journey of better hearing. She is currently based in Phoenix, AZ.
